What happened to booker t?

He was a part of TNA, and was involved in the Tag Team Full Metal Mayhem match at BFG. He was injured in the match and was taken out. I don't know if the injury was real or not, it is rumored that he has been having problems with TNA's direction, and wants to make a return to WWE, and there also have been rumors that this was just a way to work him off the show, since he probably will not return to the company once his contract comes up.
