A/C from a walkin freezer possible?

Instead of your regular A/C unit, could you use the a/c freezing mechanism or unit from a walk in freezeron your house? would it be possible? and if not why not? At work when it gets really hot I go into our walkin freezer and that thing is awesome, and made me think if there was something like that at homes, it would take seconds to get the house to a lower temperature, and by that being able to turn it off and save energy instead of having the stupid a/c running all day!!!
