I have a Mac and wanted to know is their a clean up utility already installed on my Mac that I can use.?

I am slightly computer illiterate, so I will be as clear as I can. I have a Mac OSX and I am noticing that my system is a little slow. On my pc I usually can do a disk clean up and defragment. What can I do for a Mac?
